Schola Gladiatoria sword fighting classes in London & Woking
Learn HEMA: sword fighting, dagger, spear, bayonet and other weapons from original historical systems, with certified (British Combat Association) instructors. Teaching since 2001.
Real Sword Fighting Techniques
We teach original historical fencing methods with a variety of weapons, directly from period treatises and manuals. As a club, we focus primarily on Medieval longsword and dagger, and 19th century sabre and cutlass.
Friendly & Inclusive
Beginners and experienced fencers welcome (over-18). Most people come to HEMA with no related background training, but we also get experienced modern fencers, as well as people with Asian martial arts backgrounds.
Fun & Accomplished
We let people take their training to whatever level they want to. We have people who train occasionally, when they feel like it, as well as experienced fighters who have won tournaments, leagues and lots of medals.
Weekly classes in London & Woking
Learn how people used weapons in the past, from duels to battles, self-defence to tournaments.
Our LONDON class is on Tuesday nights from 7pm at:
